Recapping a 3-1 preseason Preds win
Observations from tonight's Nashville Predators preseason victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets
- My season tickets are in the new "All You Can Eat" zone. The ticket gets you a wrist band which gets you into a cordoned off area outside of section 321. You serve yourself buffet style to hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, peanuts and soft drinks. My 5 year old son Ross loved it and it will be the best value in the arena.
- The
Predators and the Blue Jackets do not like each other at all. There was fighting and hitting like it actually meant something. Ironically, Jordin Tootoo wanted none of it. He intentionally avoided fights that he was given everything but an engraved invitation to join. I guess he wasn't in the mood. - I went looking for the reason Patric Hornqvist is going to make this team as a goal scoring forward without paying dues in Milwaukee. Yep - I get it. He tallied a goal and an assist not to mention a noticable prescence on the ice that will be fun to watch this season.
- The crowd was sparse but vocal. Predators fans have clearly taken it up a notch after fighting off those who would take the team elsewhere.
- There's a new wall with the names of the season ticket holders (including yours truly) who stuck with the team during the lockout.
If anyone wants to go next Thursday night to see the Predators and the Hurricanes + chow down in the all you can eat section, check out my ticket auction on eBay. Bid on the other pair next to those here.
